I love Fall! I am not fond of cold weather, and I have learned over the years to simply enjoy the spectacular display of colors and the crisp air, and try not to think too hard about winter approaching.

We live in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. I just returned from visiting my brother's family, and we had a wonderful time hiking in a state park. I turned the normally 3 hour return trip into a 9 hour trip to take advantage of a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. Our trees are just starting to turn, and it was a lovely trip.

I think that after many years, I finally achieved that balance between thinking things to death and enjoying the moment - I have you and Jason to thank for prodding me in that direction!
