Hello all, Jason here–and today, I’m taking over the blog.
Today is Kolette’s birthday. This June the two of us will have been married 17 years. In those years I have seen beauty and courage the likes of which I believed only to exist in fairy tales. But, over the last six weeks I have seen a whole new magnificence.
It has been my distinct pleasure to watch this woman, who waited so long to become a mother, do so so well at it. When she holds Coleman in her arms there is a charity and pure love that my clumsy writing could never properly express. She’s only been doing it six weeks but in my opinion, she is already the consummate pro.
Kolette is a wonder. She is loved by many, and cares for all. She is my best friend, my lover, and my hero.
This year, for her birthday I thought I’d give everyone the chance to wish her well. Take the opportunity leave her a birthday wish here. Having you leave your kind words will be better than any material gift I could ever find. So please take a moment and help me with this birthday present.

Hi Kolette:
I met you when I hosted the AC Moore TV spots in Cleveland a couple of years ago. You were demonstrating your pre-made albums. I remember I asked if you had any kids and you said no. We also discussed your winning CK’s Hall of Fame. It wasn’t until I got my special issue that I realized how much you and your wonderful husband had overcome in your lives together. (As an aside, your winning layout about your husband and his partnership with his skiing instructor still brings me joy when I think about it!) What a beautiful family .. and now you are three. Congratulations. Happy Birthday. And as they say it goes way too fast. I have a Coleman, too. He just turned 5. And .. you share a birthday with my 3 year old girl!

I had the pleasure of taking your Chose Joy class at a time when my life was full of joy. Well the last 2 yrs haven’t been full of joy BUT that is where your class came into play. I remembered the list of things I was thankful for, the things that made me smile when my heart was breaking, appreciating the small things like a perfect strawberry.
You have touched my life and I am thankful for it. Isn’t it amazing this technology we have. To have never met a person and yet they have touched your life so significantly.

I met you a few years ago at a scrap event and have been following both yours and Jason’s blogs….you are both such inspirational people and now you are blessed with your new ‘little man’.
My hubby and I will be celebrating our 17th anniversary in a few months……with our five children and my step-son. God has shined on our family as well…but lately I am finding life to be a bit of a struggle with my father in law battling cancer.
I often find myself reading Jason’s inspirational messages that he posts on his blog…….it makes me feel ‘grounded’ so to speak and really hits home for me!
