I, too am a book junkie and just discovered goodreads.com last night and love it! I just wrote a blog post about it today, which is how I found you.

I can not believe you journal all your books and important quotes, that is so awesome. I used to do that but moving around a bit in my 20s forced me to give it up.

I am a huge book lover and reader also, but don’t have a journal like these. I guess I should start. I do have a notebook where I write down the date I finish a book, its’s title, author and then I star it if I likes it enough to read it again. I have also joine paperbackswap.com to trade books with other book lovers. It’s already saved me a lot on new books. If you have time, could you do a quick tutorial on how to cover the composition books? I would love to start one and it HAS to be pretty! Thanks!

I am an avid reader myself and have done the same thing. I also joined GoodReads.com but have updated it only once in a year. I have read over a dozen books, but just don’t seem to have the time to update GoodReads…I’m too busy reading!

I love Jodi Picoult. I discovered her last summer & read every last book! Have you read the Big Stone Gap series by Adriani Trigiani?? It is an easy ready & soooo much fun!!! You should really give them a try!!!

LUV to read and LUV quotes too. You will be suprised how you read books differently now that you are a Mom – especially books like Jodi Picoult’s “My Sister’s Keeper”. I am on a bit of a Jodi Picoult reading session at moment but would like to read something else for a change. Haven’t read Sandra Dallas before so will look her up. Thanks for recommendation.

I love reading but have never kept a journal. What a great idea. I do keep a list of books I have read. One of my favorites in the last year is – These Is My Words – by Nancy Turner. Thanks for a few more good suggestions from author Sandra Dallas. Enjoy your reading.

Yes–the joy and pleasure of a notebook of thoughts, ideas and favorite phases and quotes written in one’s own hand cannot be overestimated.
Sandra Dallas is a favorite of mine too–The Persian Pickle Club is a tale that left it’s imprint on my memory. Recently I read Tall Grass and I am currently reading Prayers for Sale–both also by Sandra Dallas.

I’m a LibraryThing girl, myself. This past spring I started a composition book where I write down my favorite books and why, and books that inspire me, with quotes from the books. I can’t imagine life without a book- right now I’m reading “Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life” by Amy Krouse Rosenthal.
