Your garden looks lovely – we live in the desert in Western Australia and it is our gardening season now – too hot in summer. Seeing a tub of pink petunias in a blue tub by my front door as I arrive home everyday just lifts my spirits. And yes, I do deadhead them! Hadn’t made the connection to other things though – love that thought. I have a really tedious task to do now (essential though) so thanks for giving me something to ruminate on while my hands are busy and my mind is free.

Kolette, Thank you for the post. It really spoke to me. I am in the deadheading mode right now. It is hard but best. I know it is what I am supposed to be doing.

I enjoyed your post. Maybe I can try to have a better outlook on the gardening aspects of my yard. It is too big and overwhelming…kind of how my life feels sometimes. I’ll try deadheading (redirecting energy) a few of non-important things that don’t make sense in my life. Thanks for the post!

Your post today was just what I needed to hear. I am not a gardener but I do appreciate the beauty of others efforts in their gardens. I believe in everything you say but I usually need a big push to start letting go of things that have accumulated around my house. I know from past experiences that I do feel unburdened and renewed when I “deadhead” my space. Thanks for the inspiration!

It is so good to be in touch with you again. The internet makes it such a small world. I have enjoyed reading your posts and I am grateful that you are willing to share the things that are helping you with others. I am in the process of trying to simplify and let go of things in my life too. It truly does feel like a burden is lifted when you let something unnecessary go. Thanks for your inspirational posts.
