Don’t be deceived by the seemingly simple vinyl application on this vase – she put the vinyl on the outside AND the inside for a cool, dimensional look!  The “boo” is found here in my Silhouette shop for all of you Silhouette users.  See the entire description here.

The perfect way to show your creepy Halloween spirit.

I had a request for a tutorial for how to use my Pocket Tags in the Silhouette shop and here it is!  Sure, you can use these pocket tags as a tag…but how fun is it to enlarge them and create a fabulous invitation!  The method for assembly of the tags works the same no matter how you use them – check out Kelly’s tutorial here for all the details and step-by-step instructions.

Go to the Silhouette shop for all Pocket Tag designs.  Just search “pocket tags kolette” when you’re in the store and you’ll find them.

We are getting ready to finish the rest of our basement.  I consider myself an organized, non-cluttery person but these three rooms in the basement have become a bit of a dumping ground and they need a good de-junking.  That happened today.  I have had some boxes stored on pallets and as the pallets are now free of piles, I thought….I should do a project with these pallets!  The project  that hit my email box last night came to mind – I love multi-use decor.  Love it.  Only one thing to store and it’s easy to change it out when the time comes.  Brilliant!

Come on, you know you want to try it.

Click here for Lisa’s tutorial on her double-sided holiday sign.  Look for my Halloween and Thanksgiving phrases in the Silhouette store here or in Lori Whitlock’s svg shop here.  These files are all made for an electronic die-cutting machine and Lisa’s tutorial is a great way to use vinyl to create  masks for this project.  I love how it creates a rough look when you do the mask method.

So, grab some wood (I want Lisa’s fence posts!) and choose your favorite phrases in my shop and let your holiday decor multi-task for you this season!  Lisa will help you – click here.

Birthday shapes and quotes and phrases are oh so popular in my Silhouette shop.  Want some ideas of how to use them in a variety of ways?  Here’s Lisa’s tutorial on 4 different Happy Birthday tag ideas – and all of the shapes are found in the Silhouette shop (must have a Silhouette machine to use them).

My favorite is this gold Mason jar message.  Seriously, who wouldn’t want to open up this jar with this darling gold sentiment?  Love it.  Get all the details and how-tos by clicking here.

I’m a reader.  I would rather be reading a book than doing almost anything else.  So, when I saw these fabulous magnetic bookmarks over at the Silhouette blog, my heart raced a little bit with joy.  Then to know she used all of my shapes to make her project happen – well, that’s the best thing ever!

Here’s a print + cut version using my Teeny Tiny Card Kits (love this!) then adding a printed quote to each card to make a magnetic bookmark.  Whether you need a bookmark or not, it’s helpful to see how she used the print + cut feature to color in the quotes – it’s great for cardmaking because my quotes can often be difficult to cut small enough for a card.  You’ll see that filling in the words and phrases like this is why each of my quote files have a totally merged version (for easy one-color creating) as well as an unmerged version so you can add fill color any way you choose.  These results are fabulous and they really show how great the multi-colored quotes can look.

Check out the Silhouette tutorial and find links to each file here.  This will work for any of my quote files.  (Remember that this is for Silhouette users! Find my files over at Lori Whitlock’s svg shop if you are using a different cutting machine).

Then, if you want to use a variety of colors on your vinyl projects and how to manipulate the placement of words, check out this tutorial for one way to make that happen or this tutorial from Lisa over at greylustergirl.

We’re headed into project season – use both of these tutorials to make all of your Halloween, Thanksgiving and Holiday projects!

Want to know how to work with my layered phrases over at the Silhouette shop?  Here you go.  Lisa has a great tutorial for creating projects in vinyl using my quote files – they come with a merged version and un-grouped version and Lisa shows how to use both here.

This is the best tutorial for basic use of my layered quote files – it works for any of them found in the Silhouette shop or in Lori Whitlock’s svg shop.  Doesn’t that layered vinyl look fabulous?  That is the exact reason I create the files to be layered – so you can get a great result like this one.

I’m a fan of anything which includes thread or fabric or linens of any kind – including the Pillowcase People Dance that we experienced at our family reunion.  It’s always a winner.  We like mixing up the members of our families to create teams for skits and games.  This is Coleman’s Team – he’s the one with the hot pink leggings.  I’m not sure why his SUPER-FUN uncles picked those for him but he sure was proud of them.  Don’t mess with a man’s leggings!

So I was thrilled to see these two tutorials using my shapes on the Silhouette blog.  Find the anchor shape here and the leaf garland here.  You can also choose my leaf garland alphabet with the letters already included.

Click here for the Hand-Stitching Anchor tutorial (See that cute sailboat?  That’s mine, too.  Find it here):
